EAR PIERCING

Ear Piercing Post Care Instructions

Congratulations on your new piercing! For the best care please follow the following easy instructions.

     - Always wash hands thoroughly before touching studs or ear.
     - Please keep hair spray, soap, shampoo and other hair care liquids away from piercing.
     - After shampoo rinse with water then apply cleaning solution.
   - Cleanse front and back of piercing twice daily without removing the studs. (I recommend using NeilMed NeilCleanse Piercing Aftercare or H2Ocean Piercing Aftercare Spray that can be purchased on Amazon)

DO NOT:
     - Remove the studs from the ear
     - Handle your ears and/or studs unnecessarily
     - Push the clasp on the back towards the ear. Tight earrings may lead to infection.

For Ear Lobe Piercing:
     - Leave studs on for 6 weeks continuously.
     - After 6 weeks you can wear other post type earrings.
     - (Make sure they are surgical stainless steel or other hypoallergenic material)
     - Minor pain/ redness may occur immediately after piercing.

For Ear Cartilage Piercing:
     - Leave studs in for 12 weeks continuously.
     - After 12 weeks you can wear other post type earrings.
     - (Make sure they are surgical stainless steel or other hypoallergenic material)
    - Due to the nature of ear cartilage, extra care should be taken during the healing period. Cartilage piercings are at a higher risk of infection.
    - Minor pain/ redness may occur immediately after piercing - this is normal. This will settle within 48 hours with proper care. If undue pain/ swelling/ redness occurs, please consult your doctor immediately. This could be an infection and could have serious side effects.

I can be reached directly at 706-425-9364 for any questions or concerns.
