Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that helps to minimize the signs of aging, improve acne scarring, and even out complexion. This procedure is great before a big event to give you that glow or when done in a series can lead to tightening and collagen stimulation. Needling is safe for all skin types. This procedure involves very little downtime. Immediately after completing the procedure, clients will be flushed in appearance like they have a moderate sunburn. This redness will begin to calm down in just a few hours. On day two, clients cannot wear any type of make-up or SPF on the skin, may be slightly pink, and while most clients do not, some may experience mild swelling. By day three, there is rarely any evidence the procedure has taken place!
Microneedling Q&A
Is it painful?
- We apply a topical numbing cream prior to treatment, so most clients only report mild discomfort.
How many treatments do I need?
- Depending on what we are targeting, 3-6 treatments are recommended. For best results, we space the treatments out 4-6 weeks apart.
LED Light Therapy:
LED is a light source that emits infrared light at varying wavelengths that penetrate skin cells targeting various skin issues. Red light helps reduce inflammation and increase collagen production. Blue light reduces activity in the sebaceous (oil) glands, kills acne causing bacteria, and reduces inflammation making it perfect for acneic skin types.
Gua Sha:
Gua Sha is a massage technique using a smooth jade stone to promote lymphatic drainage. This can help reduce puffiness and inflammation, stimulate circulation, and brighten complexion.
Dermaplaning:
Dermaplaning is a form of exfoliation performed using a surgical scalpel to gently and painlessly remove dead skin and vellus hair (peach fuzz). By thoroughly exfoliating the skin in this way, your products will absorb better, your complexion will appear brighter and more even, and make-up will apply smoother.
Diamond Tip Microdermabrasion:
This exfoliating treatment uses a diamond tipped instrument to remove dead skin, increase circulation, and unclog pores to reveal new, bright skin.
High Frequency:
High frequency is a technique that utilizes targeted thermal energy to oxygenate the skin. This procedure creates a mild tingling sensation and is completely comfortable. High Frequency kills acne causing bacteria, minimizes inflammation and redness, reduces post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation, and reduces fine lines and enlarged pores making it a great option for acne and anti-aging.
Chemical Peels:
The Stimulator Peel
This chemical peel is sometimes known as the “Red Carpet Peel” or “The Lunchtime Peel” because there is little downtime and beautiful results. It is great for all skin types and helps improve skin texture, fine lines, acne, and dark spots.
The 3 Step Peel
This peel is an excellent treatment for fine lines, sun damage, dull skin, melanoma, uneven texture, and acne. Safe and effective for all skin types, this peel includes an in office peel followed by an at-home regimen. It utilizes a blend of exfoliants, retinol, and multi-action agents which may cause peeling for ~3-5 days post treatment.
SkinClassic:
SkinClassic uses high-frequency to dehydrate the top layer of skin irregularities to allow for new, healthy skin to form. It is an affordable, quick, and effective non-laser treatment for minor skin irregularities. This treatment can correct broken capillaries, skin takes, cherry angiomas, sebaceous hyperplasia, clogged pores, and flat hyperpigmentation. Post treatment, the area will be slightly red and possibly inflamed with mild swelling. Within 24-48 hours, the area may develop a small scab which will fall off between 7-12 days afterwards.
